The two days included presentations from industrial partners, panel discussions, technical presentations and a poster session. This year, the focus was on technology transfer, applied research and innovation, as well as sustainable development. The involvement of industrial partners provided insight into the challenges met when transferring knowledge, as well as the latest areas in need of solutions.
In the technical presentations part, Professor Emeritus Morten Lind provided an update on MFM research activities in the context of CTR1 – Water Management project. His presentation focused on how our team's research results can provide operator support during critical situations.
The poster session had a new format, where posters were grouped in booths according to their research areas and end goals. To mirror Morten’s presentation, our booth was named “Advanced Operator Support”. It was comprised of seven posters that guided the viewer through all the steps of the development process from model building and validation, detection of abnormal events, on-line event analysis and action planning to the final commercial product belonging to Kairos Technology.
